Wear in these bushes is a commom cause of knocking in the front suspension area. The front facing bush due to it’s exposure can seize to the fulcrum pin and this can then rotate in the subframe and cause expensive damage here. Also (in my car’s case) the seizure caused the wishbone arm to crack and was costly in terms of time and parts to sort out. Better to check, if required replace the bushes and then grease well the fulcrum pin.
