These vital XK8 XKR upper wishbone arm fulcrum pins connect the upper wishbone arm to the subframe. If the bushes seize to them (often the front one) they have to be cut off to remove them. If a bush remains seized to the pin this will move within the subframe sleeve and will cause wear and considerable expense in potentially replacing the subframe.
I recommend that you remove these pins every 4 or 5 years regrease them and check bushes and ball joints. Not a difficult job if the parts are not seized.
