XK8 Parts Review – Number Plate Plinth Kit
Let’s face it, the front of a Jaguar XK8 / XKR looks pretty impressive in it’s standard format. But a problem with the standard number plate plinth is that it partly obstructs the grill aperture. The front of the car looks much better if the number plate is positioned below the grill. This is a great improvement to the existing looks and is definitely recommended if you are planning to fit a mesh grill to the car which will really improve the look of your car further. The kits available on the market lower the existing number plate and plinth below your grille. The ones we have looked at fit XK8 and XKR models up to 2003 model year. The parts kit consists of two aluminium brackets in an anodised black finish to match the plinth, plus provision of all the required fixings and instructions.
